2002 Kawasaki Vulcan 800 Classic For Sale

by Stephen Hickey on Jul.28, 2010, under Stephen Hickey

This bike was bought NEW and has always been stored inside with cover.  Never driven in the rain.  Its only driven in the sun and this has been a worry free motorcycle for me.  I love this motorcycle.

This bike has been maintained with yearly Maintenance, Oil Changes, New Air Filter, Greasing,  etc.  This bike comes with following accessories:

•    Windshield
•    Front Saddle Bag
•    Back Rest For Passenger
•    Chrome Vulcan License Plate Cover
•    Leather Saddle Bags
•    Jet Kit
•    Vance and Hines Exhaust Pipes

The color of this bike really catches the eye and the trim turns Red and Silver at different viewing angles.  That is great!  I have original exhaust pipes that are included in the sale.

No Rust!  Low Kilometres Only 13,700km.  Canadian motorcycle bought in Oshawa, ON.  It’s a Must See bike and it’s great for someone just starting out or season pro.  It has lots of power and sounds great.  People look when they hear the sound.

The bike has never been dropped! Lots and lots of chrome on the bike.

Bonus: The bike was just fitted with hwy pegs.

IPad or Not?

by Stephen Hickey on Feb.03, 2010, under Stephen Hickey

Okay we saw the new iPad come out and there are very mixed emotions on the product and what it can and cannot do!

I thought it was a great product once I heard about the product..  I do have some mixed emotions now since I learned what the iPad is missing.

Now that we have had time to digest the product reviews and to watch some videos online about the product we now have a better idea on the pros and cons of the iPad.  My feeling is they have to do allot more work to get the product more appealing and more users friendly.

The product is nice and thin and has an awesome battery life of 10 hours.  iPad is to close the gap between Smartphone’s and Laptops.  There are some shortcomings in the iPad, which could significantly reduce its success despite the current hype around the product.  Let get into it a little further as just see what everyone is talking about on the iPad.

One of the major criticisms that have been expressed on the iPhone is not resolved even when iPad is designed and released i.e. the lack of technical support for multitasking, opening an application that will inevitably mean the closing of another. This was possibly the Smartphone is already annoying, so in this circumstance will the device compete with laptops?  That is a deal breaker right there with not being able to have more than one program open at a time.  If you are Internet Marketer or you do anything with Social Media you know you need more than one website open so that you can bounce back and forth between the websites you have opened.

With having a laptop computer you know that you can move freely between each program like playing music that is sent through your Bluetooth which enables you to listen to your music through your home surround sound system and you can be on Twitter, Facebook, Reading a Blog all at the same time with now problems.  Companies that are making the Internet Browsers have seen the trend coming and you may have noticed that you now can have multiple tabs open all at the same time so you can go from tap to tap.  This makes life whole lot easier for an Online Marketer or Internet browser that is doing research.

It was a downer to hear that the iPad doesn’t come with a camera which was a big flaw on their part.  Smart phones and laptops these days come with camera’s to take pictures and take some video.  It really makes it handy.  Not that anyone would like to take pictures with the iPad over there Smart Phone or camera however if you want to video Skype your friends or family that option isn’t available which to me is a deal breaker.

To hear that the iPad does not come with flash is another downer because allot of websites that need flash to work to give you that experience of the WOW Factor and without it you are going to be missing out on seeing the video and graphics that are used by flash.

The last thing I am going to mention is that the iPad isn’t PDF friendly you ask what PDF is.  Well it is document reading software that is needed in the 21st century for reading PDF Books, and PDF Documents.  The program is called Adobe Acrobat Reader put out by Adobe.  That is another deal breaker for me.

Let’s look at the positives of the product.

  • 10 hour battery life.
  • Color screen great for reading so it beats the Kindle.
  • Very light weight
  • Fun

What does seem to be clear is that Apple is moving away from powerful desktop computers, into a controlled casual market where they lock off the limits of technology via a streamlined user interface.

I hope this was insightful and it gives you a little more information to see if the iPad is a right fit for you or not.  I know there are too many deal breakers for me at this time and maybe when they come out with the 2nd generation I will consider the iPad!   I will keep with my BlackBerry Bold and my Laptop computer as I know I have no worries getting my work done that I need to do and watch movies and that are viewed over my 46” Plasma TV with the HDMI port on my laptop.  Price point was another deal breaker for me its way over priced and I just want to add that.

Today’s laptop you can do so many things with it.  I am a guy that likes getting all the bells and whistles with the products I buy and that is great if you intend to use them.  Most people buy them that way with the intentions of using and never do because they don’t know how or couldn’t bother.

I decided to get the most out of all the products that I buy.  The cool thing I have already mentioned was the Bluetooth and for anyone that doesn’t know what that means.  Bluetooth allows paring your phone with your computer, home stereo, car, or whatever product that you buy that has Bluetooth.

I just recently pared my Smartphone with my laptop computer and my home stereo and what that does for me any music I play on my Smartphone now can be heard thru my home stereo without all those wires it makes it wireless and through my computer.  I can also send pictures and video from my Smartphone to my computer without hooking any wires up!   The same goes for my laptop computer which I stream movies from online and to watch on my 46” Plasma TV and the audio goes thru my Bluetooth and comes out of my home surround sound system which is great by the way.

I really like knowing that I can have thousands and thousands of songs on my laptop and they can be play from their through my home stereo.  Technology  continues to evolve!

In summery the iPad is just another  iPhone but much bigger to carry around.  I wonder if they will come out with a belt clip for the iPad.  Now that is funny.

Thanks for reading,
